The granulated flocculant Sediflock in the valve bag with barrier layer (exclusively for Bohle Sedimentor water treatment systems) binds fine suspended solids in the process water of the glass processing machines and causes them to settle. This makes it possible to achieve almost clear system water.
The Sediflock is added directly to the Sedimentor flocculation tank filled with abrasive solution with the help of a dosing device, while stirring. Flocculation starts after approx. 1.5 - 2 minutes and is completed after a total of 5 - 8 minutes. During this time, stirring must be continued continuously. After the stirring device is switched off, the flocculate settles quickly. After the programmed settling time, the sludge is drained into a filter bag and further drained by gravity. The cleaned, clear grinding solution is pumped back into the circuit.
Manual treatment of individual tanks: If no process water treatment system is available, manual treatment of the individual tank can also be carried out. This is done by spreading a thin layer of Sediflock on the surface of the grinding solution at the end of the day and leaving it overnight. This procedure achieves a partial cleaning of the grinding solution; in addition, the removal of the glass sludge from the tank is also significantly facilitated.
