XtraColl® is the ideal adhesive tape for sealing glass joints where transparency is important, e.g. in all-glass systems, glass partitions, furniture construction or shower cubicles. Compared to silicone, you save considerable time and costs during installation.
The adhesive joints are barely visible as the refractive index of the adhesive tape is almost identical to that of glass. The adhesive-passive dry edge makes XtraColl® unreactive to external influences. It has very good initial adhesion and a permanently high final strength. The adhesive tape is resistant to ageing and UV radiation, economical, high quality and design-friendly. The adhesive tape can also be used on various materials such as glass, wood, aluminium, plastic or ceramic.
Application note:
For a clean and easy application, we recommend our ergonomic hand applicator. We recommend the BO650.33 or BO650.35 seaming tools as a working aid for pulling the glass panes together. When using XtraColl® on laminated safety glass with acoustic PVB film, its suitability must be checked in advance. Standard laminated safety glass with PVB film does not interact with XtraColl® products.
